Cai’s musical career began playing drums and percussion. While at college, he started to do some roadie work first with a local band then with a P.A company. This eventually led to a job as Front of House engineer at the legendary Warehouse in Belfast, which played host to a wide variety of international artists.
In July 1995 Cai moved to London and began working in recording studios making tea, engineering and programming. It was one year later that things began to happen when he landed a job at Intimate studios as a tape op., his first session was with the Stranglers. On following sessions he got to work with the likes of Jah Wobble, Transglobal Underground, Fundamental and Temple of Sound. He went on to record and mix many albums for Jah Wobble and co-produced Temple of Sound’s second album and also toured as Front of House Engineer.
Now based in Tokyo, Cai has been in the studio with Coppe -who has even inspired him to get behind a drum kit again- and occasionally doing Front of House for fellow Temple of Sound crewmate the Kitchencynic’s MJ Ultra.
