For two decades Benton-C Bainbridge has pursued moviemaking as a realtime, performable artform, playing live audiovisuals in a multitude of group and solo contexts around the world with the likes of Beastie Boys and Venetian Snares. Using custom analog, digital and optical systems, Benton-C harnesses the communicative power of music in moving images. Amongst travelling and experimentation, his work has been featured in Whitney Museum of American Art at Philip Morris, NY Museum of Modern Art, Teatro Colón CETC (Buenos Aires), Mercat des les Flores (Barcelona), American, Museum of the Moving Image (NYC), Boston Cyberarts Festival, Sonic Light (Amsterdam), Batofar (Paris), AVIT_NA (Chicago), and internationally across the airwaves….He has also released on the Atmospherex DVDs “Pleasure 141X” and “RECreate.”
